Phoenix Awards Application
Brownfields Revitalization is booming in North Carolina. Do you know about a worthy revitalization project to nominate for a Phoenix Award? If so, please forward this Phoenix Awards Application (MS Word Doc) to others who may have such a project and recommend that they apply for the award! The application deadline is June 30, 2007.
The Phoenix Award™ Executive Committee is seeking redevelopment projects to recognize for excellence in brownfields redevelopment. The project participants will be announced at a special event in the Fall 2007, and honored at an awards ceremony during the National Brownfields Conference, Brownfields 2008, in Detroit, Michigan, May 2008. One winner will be selected from each of EPA's ten regions, and additional special winners also will be selected, including projects that have a significant impact for small communities.
The awards are open to any individual, group, company, organization, government body or agency. Criteria for The Phoenix Awards™ focus on the magnitude of the project, innovative techniques, solutions to regulatory issues, and impact upon the community. A panel of environmental professionals and business, academic and government leaders select the winners.
